Sapphire Window Scube
Sapphire windows that combine light transmittance in the UV to IR range (approximately 5μm) with stability against heat, acids, and bases.
Sapphire has the following characteristics: - Wide transmission properties (UV to near-infrared (approximately 5μm)) - Hardness (Vickers hardness: 1750 (a-plane)) - Chemically stable (almost insoluble in acids and alkalis, does not lose transparency) - Heat resistant (melting point: 2040°C) - Good thermal conductivity (42W/mK at 25°C) Due to its strength to withstand harsh environments and excellent optical properties, it is one of the materials that can solve the challenges of glass and fluorides. In recent years, it has become possible to grow large crystals of about 300mm, allowing for a wider range of applications.
